Winchester to Sweden 

How a trip from Winchester to Sweden inspired this mixed media Painting. 

I had a painting party with students by the Itchen. everybody had a corner to work with.

We made postcards of the painting and the kids managed to raise some money for charity.

I then took the canvas to Sweden. This journey to Sweden was to deliver a painting but also paint along the way.

I landed in the middle of nowhere in Småland Jönköping. 

It felt quite spine chilling being solo by a lake in a tiny hut with no neighbours... There was plenty of wood to keep the wood burner going. I Embraced being cut off from the world. I had minimal food & had to make due. Fishing was an option...instead I listened to woodpecker and read by candlelight. I had the best night sleep.

 It was completely quiet, the best place for Plein Air painting.
